Blair's Christmas message for armed forces abroad

Tony Blair has hailed Britain's armed forces the finest in the world, as up to 1,500 troops prepared to head for Afghanistan.

The British Prime Minister saved special praise for those on active service abroad in a Christmas message issued through the British Forces Broadcast Service.
