Woman survives after being 'shot 25 times by husband'

A South African woman is in a serious condition after being allegedly shot 25 times by her husband.

The shooting is said to have taken place following an argument between the couple.

Mthokozisi Mbambo, 27, then shot and killed himself.

Sindisiwe Mbambo, 25, was taken to hospital following the incident in Sydenham, Durban.

Durban South Police Inspector Gugu Sabela told the Daily News: "Neighbours who heard the gunshots rushed to the home and found Mrs Mbambo lying in a pool of blood in a passage."
