Afghan 'missile' attack was a celebration

Two US transport plane crews, who took evasive action today when they thought they were coming under missile attack over Afghanistan, had red faces when they learned the truth.

The ‘missiles’ they saw near Kandahar were muzzle flashes from end of Ramadan celebrations.
