Afghan information leads to arrests

US officials have said information gathered from abandoned al-Qaida positions in Afghanistan has led to several arrests of alleged terrorists in other countries.

America's Afghan allies also have captured about 50 al-Qaida fighters during heavy combat in the Tora Bora area of eastern Afghanistan.
