India: Huge car bomb planned for Parliament

Armed gunmen who stormed the Indian Parliament in New Delhi today are reported to have been planning to detonate a huge car bomb at the site.

The armed gang were dressed in army uniforms and arrived in a car, which was packed with heavy explosives.

The gunmen were killed during the incident while eight security personnel also lost their lives in an exchange of fire.
