US warplanes continue to pound Kandahar

American warplanes are continuing to bomb the southern Afghanistan city Kandahar.

Pressure is mounting on the Taliban to give up control of their last stronghold. It comes as several prominent Taliban members try to persuade their spiritual leader Mullah Mohammed Omar, to give up control of Kandahar.
