Special forces may use smell detector to find bin Laden

Special forces searching for Osama bin Laden may use a smell detector to track him down.

The sensor can find and distinguish smells coming out of holes in the ground and will aid in the search of caves.

Bin Laden is believed to be hiding in caves near Kandahar or Jalalabad in Afghanistan.

The Remote-Sensing Gas Detection Device can distinguish between different smells.

Pentagon expert Professor John Shroder says the device is so sensitive it can distinguish between the smells of each ethnic group caused by the different foods they eat.
