Taliban told to stand and fight in Kandahar

The Taliban’s spiritual leader, Mullah Mohammed Omar, has reportedly ordered his fighters in Kandahar to fight to the death and become martyrs rather than surrender or retreat.

However, other reports suggest the Taliban is preparing to evacuate Kandahar to engage in a campaign of guerrilla warfare directed from the mountains.
