Australian court rejects appeal against refugee ruling

Australia’s High Court has thrown out an appeal against the Australian government’s refusal to allow Muslim asylum seekers to land on Australian soil.

A panel of three judges snubbed civil rights lawyer Eric Vadarlis’ planned appeal against an earlier Federal Court ruling that the Australian government had not acted illegally by refusing to allow asylum seekers to enter.
