Swedish journalist shot dead in Afghanistan

A Swedish television journalist was killed in Afghanistan today after a gunman shot him during a break-in at his house in the northern city of Taloqan.

Colleagues identified the dead man as Olaf Stromberg, from Sweden’s TV4.

He is the eighth journalist to be killed in Afghanistan since the US began its attack on the country on October 7.
