Man dies in mortar attack on Gaza Strip

An Israeli has been killed in a mortar attack in the Gaza Strip after Palestinians called for revenge for the death of a top militant activist.

A second Israeli was injured in the attack on the Jewish settlement of Kfar Darom.

The violence took place just hours after the funeral of leading Hamas member Mahmoud Abu Hanoud.

It also comes two days before two US mediators are due to arrive in the region.
