Hamas leader killed in West Bank

The second in command of the Islamic Hamas group has been killed in an Israeli helicopter attack, according to Israel army radio.

Two other activists were also killed when the missile hit a van in the West Bank.

The militia leader was considered the most wanted Palestinian in the West Bank by Israel.

A total of seven Palestinians were killed yesterday making it the bloodiest day since October 26 when 10 people died in clashes with Israeli troops.
