24 killed in plane crash

Twenty-four people aboard a passenger plane were killed when the aircraft crashed in Russia after disappearing from radar screens.

The Ilyushin-18 plane, which had been chartered by a company called Irasaero, crashed last night near the town of Kalyazin, 90 miles from Moscow.
