Taliban leader 'agrees to leave Kandahar'
Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar is reportedly planning to withdraw his forces from Kandahar.
The Afghan Islamic Press says Omar has agreed to leave within 24 hours.
Anti-Taliban forces have been besieging Kandahar which is seen as the Taliban's spiritual home.
Earlier, witnesses and even an anti-Taliban leader said the militia's troops still appeared to have a firm grip on the southern Afghan city.
