Jailed animal rights bomber dies after hunger strike

Animal rights protestor Barry Horne died today after being on hunger strike since the summer, the British prison service said.

Horne, 49, was probably Britain’s best-known animal rights extremist and was serving 18 years in jail after being convicted of plotting a nationwide bombing campaign.
