Man kills five family members after HIV result

A young man allegedly axed to death five members of his family and seriously wounded three others after he tested positive for the virus that causes Aids, Indian police said.

Srinivas Rao, 22, also tried to kill himself after the Saturday bloodbath, but his suicide attempt failed, police said. He was admitted to a hospital under police custody.
