Taliban say two helicopters shot down

The Taliban is claiming to have shot down two US helicopters, killing between 40 and 50 American soldiers.

A Taliban minister said the two helicopters had been carrying out air raids in the South of the country when they were shot down.

The US admits losing one helicopter overnight, injuring four soldiers. Bad weather has been blamed for the crash.
