Airline anti-terror insurance scheme extended

A British Government scheme has been extended to allow airlines to insure against terrorism and war risks, it was announced tonight.

The UK government has extended its backing for the insurance scheme because of difficulties faced by the airlines after the September 11 terrorist strikes, the British treasury said.
