Two people have died after the US bombed a network of caves and tunnels in east Afghanistan, known to be a hiding place for Osama bin Laden.

There were also bombs dropped in the city of Kandahar overnight. However last night was one of the quietest nights of strikes since bombing began four weeks ago.
