Gunman wounds 10 in Israeli city
A gunman opened fire on the main street of Hadera, in northern Israel, wounding at least 10 people, police and rescue officials said.
Palestinian militants are suspected, they said.
Israel Radio reported that gunmen in a car opened fire at random at Israelis on President Street in Hadera, and police in a patrol car shot and killed the attacker.
An eyewitness told Israel Army Radio she could see the body of the gunman lying on the street in a pool of blood, with an automatic rifle next to him.
An official from Magen David Adom rescue services said 10 people were injured, including seriously wounded.
It was the second shooting today. Gunmen shot and killed an Israeli soldier in a drive-by shooting in Israel near the line with the West Bank. A Palestinian admitted the killing.
