Pakistani authorities have arrested and handed over to America a Yemeni microbiology student wanted in connection with the bombing of the USS Cole warship, it was reported today.

Jamil Qasim Saeed Mohammed, 27, is an active member of the al Qaida network run by Osama bin Laden, blamed for the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon, the Washington Post said.
