Taliban claim to execute more of the opposition

The Taliban have claimed to have hanged five senior members of the opposition.

This comes as a further blow to rebel forces already stunned from yesterday's execution of anti-Taliban leader, Abdul Haq.

It is believed he would have been an important figure in the effort to bring splits in the Taliban and attempt to pave a new political future for Afghanistan.
