Houdini's belongings to be auctioned in New York

Harry Houdini memorabilia is to be auctioned at a New York auction house.

One of the items being offered is a nude photo of the famed magician that's expected to fetch at least £300.

Other magical mementos being auctioned at Swann Auction Galleries include a pocket ripped from the pyjamas Houdini was wearing when he died.

The auction will take place October 30th, the day before the 75th anniversary of Houdini's death.

The cloth scrap could sell for up to £5,000.

There is also the magician's leather wallet, with his name embossed in gold, which could fetch up to £15,000.
