A journalist is being treated for suspicious symptoms of inhalation anthrax in Maryland.

A spokesman for Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring said the journalist had been in the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington.

The anthrax-laced letter to Senate majority leader, Tom Daschle, was delivered and opened there.

If the unidentified journalist, is confirmed to have anthrax infection, it would be the first case contracted on Capitol Hill.
