Northern Alliance call for US to deploy ground troops

Afghanistan’s Northern Alliance fighters have called on the US to bring in ground troops and liquidate the Taliban quickly.

US jet fighters bombarded the Taliban Headquarters at Kandahar yesterday and struck at targets around Mazar E-Sharif in support of opposition forces pressing towards the city from the South.
