Diana antique 'theft': Burrell's brother quizzed
Police have questioned the brother of Princess Diana’s ex-butler Paul Burrell over the alleged disappearance of a £500,000 antique from her estate.
Graham Burrell, 35, and a 31-year-old man were arrested in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, at 5am yesterday on suspicion of handling stolen goods.
It follows the alleged theft of a model of a dhow sailing vessel from the estate of the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
Both men were taken to a Derbyshire police station and questioned by detectives before they were released on bail to attend a central London police station at the end of November.
The arrests were in connection with an inquiry which was initially launched by the Metropolitan Police last November.
Three people have already been charged in connection with the inquiry.
A Scotland Yard spokesman confirmed: ‘‘The 31-year-old and 35-year-old men were bailed to a central London police station at the end of November.’’
