US call for Israel to withdraw troops

US Officials are calling for Israeli forces to withdraw from all Palestinian-controlled areas of the West Bank.

They have also strongly condemned the killing of Palestinian civilians over the past few days.

Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, has insisted troops will stay in the area until the Palestinians hand over those responsible for the murder of Israeli cabinet minister, Rehavam Zeevi.
