Arafat asks Israel to resume negotiations
British Prime Minister Tony Blair said today that he and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat are "in complete agreement that now is the time to re-invigorate the Middle East peace process".
Speaking in 10 Downing Street after more than an hour of talks with Mr Arafat, Mr Blair said: "Too many innocent Palestinians and innocent Israelis have died in recent months and years. We have a chance to put right the injustices that have for too long blighted our world and the Middle East in particular."
