One dead as Pakistan cracks down on protests

One person has been shot dead and 12 injured after police and paramilitary troops opened fire during anti-US demonstrations in Pakistan.

The city of Jacobabad was virtually sealed off after the protests, during which tear gas shells and live rounds were fired at the thousands of people taking part.
