India claims al-Qaida operating in Kashmir

India has claimed that the al-Qaida terrorist network has been operating in Kashmir for years.

The claim was made by Indian Interior Minister Lal Krishna Advani today after welcoming the decision by the United States to freeze the assets of a Pakistan-based militant group believed to be funded by Osama bin Laden.
