Civilians flee as US escalates Afghan attacks

Afghan civilians are reportedly fleeing across the Pakistan border in droves this morning after the US escalated its attacks on Afghanistan and its Taliban rulers last night.

The Taliban said 18 people were killed in the southern city of Kandahar this morning and another 10 in the eastern city of Jalalabad.
