Pakistani police kill two Anti-American protestors

Pakistani police have shot and killed two anti-American demonstrators after they attacked a police station near Quetta and tried to set it alight.

A third demonstrator was also injured in the violence. These latest deaths follow the killing of another Pakistani protestor yesterday as thousands of Muslim activists took to the streets of cities throughout Pakistan in protest against the US-British attacks on Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s military dictatorship has ordered the arrests of three senior Muslim clerics to prevent them from organising further anti-American protests.

Maulana Fazar-ur Rehman, leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam party, has already been under house arrest for the past two days but he will now be interned for three months.

Samial Haq, the leader of the Afghan Defence Council and Azam Tariq, leader of the Sipah-e-Sahaba party, will also be detained for the same period.
