An Irish aid worker in Pakistan has said last night’s US-British attacks on Afghanistan have sparked the worst humanitarian disaster in modern history.

Niall O’Keefe, who is in Islamabad with Trocaire, said he fears aid agencies will not be able to get vital supplies to the estimated eight million Afghan refugees who are living in camps along the border.
