Banned items 'smuggled onto planes'

The British Government is reviewing security at airports after claims by a Sunday newspaper that an undercover reporter managed to smuggle potentially lethal instruments on to two planes.

The Sunday Telegraph said a journalist carrying the ‘‘banned implements’’ was able to pass through security checks for the flights to America.
