Detained journalist to be released

British journalist Yvonne Ridley is to be released by the Taliban, it has been reported.

Afghanistan's rulers have made the order according to reports quoting the country's Islamic Press news agency.

She has been moved from a military camp to jail in Kabul.

The Sunday Express journalist was detained after officials claimed she entered the country illegally.

She was due to face a trial but Mullah Mohammad Omar, the country's spiritual leader has reportedly ordered her release.
