Mourners gather for man killed in 'backlash'
More than 300 people attended the California funeral of a slain Arab-American shopkeeper, the man who relatives believe was the victim of a hate crime.
Abdo Ali Ahmed, 51, was shot and killed on Saturday at his convenience store in Reedley. Family and friends believe he was killed as part of the backlash against people of Middle Eastern descent following last month’s terrorist attacks.
