Flight 93 passengers 'saved people on ground'
Passengers aboard United Flight 93 on September 11 probably saved the lives of people on the ground by rushing the terrorists who had hijacked the jetliner, an FBI official testified.
The statement by JT Caruso was one of the most explicit comments yet by a government official suggesting that the passengers turned the tables on their hijackers, resulting in the plane crashing in a field in southwestern Pennsylvania rather than in a heavily populated area.
