Putin takes Russian-Nato co-operation to a new level

Vladimir Putin today pledged to take Russia’s co-operation with Nato and the EU to a new level in the fight against international terrorism.

Speaking in Brussels, the Russian president said he was convinced Osama bin Laden had a role in the attacks on the US and said Russia was ready to play its role in the fight against terrorists who he called a ‘‘bacteria’’ living off the bodies of their host states.
