An Islamic militant who was recently extradited from the United Arab Emirates to France has reportedly confessed to plotting an attack on the US Embassy in Paris.

According to French radio, 35-year-old Djamel Beghal, a French-Algerian, spoke in detail about being recruited for the attack by Osama bin Laden.
