Britain’s Labour Party has backed away from overnight briefings that said Prime Minister Tony Blair will use his speech at the party conference in Brighton today to declare war on Afghanistan’s Taliban Government.

Britain’s Labour Party has backed away from overnight briefings that said Prime Minister Tony Blair will use his speech at the party conference in Brighton today to declare war on Afghanistan’s Taliban Government.

Speaking this morning, British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said the Taliban can still end the threat of air strikes by extraditing Osama bin Laden, the prime suspect in last month’s attacks in the United States.
