'We have bin Laden', say Taliban

Osama bin Laden is believed to be under the control of the Taliban regime.

They acknowledge they have bin Laden at an unspecified location in Afghanistan and only security officials know his whereabouts.

"Osama bin Laden is in Afghanistan in an unknown place for his safety and security," said Abdul Salaam Alee, the Taliban ambassador to Pakistan.

"He's under the control of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and only security people know where he is."
