Macedonia promises restraint

Macedonia’s Government is promising to use restraint in retaking areas once controlled by ethnic Albanian rebels, giving political leaders time to work out glitches in the peace process.

The decision to move slowly in reclaiming lost ground eased fears that the Government would push for swift military action to restore control over the volatile, ethnic Albanian-populated north western part of the country.
