Afghanistan’s Taliban Government has asked for a special meeting of the organisation of the Islamic Conferences to discuss the fallout from the attacks in the United States earlier this month.

A spokesman for the Taliban Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, said: “We have urged both the OIC and the United Nations to investigate the matter and help in getting the culprits.”
