Taliban invite Jesse Jackson to Kabul

Afghanistan’s Taliban Government has invited American civil rights activist Jesse Jackson to travel to the country to mediate in their stand-off with the Bush administration.

The Taliban said it would allow Mr Jackson into Kabul to discuss the fallout from the attacks in New York and Washington earlier this month.
