Fighter jets: minutes away at hijack impact

Fighter jets were eight minutes away from one of the hijacked airliners when it crashed into the World Trade Centre, it was revealed today.

Two other military jets were 12 minutes away when an airliner hit the Pentagon, said the North American Aerospace Defence Command in newly released data.
