Arafat says he will do utmost to implement ceasefire

Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat has said he will do his utmost to implement a ceasefire among Palestinian militant groups in an effort to restart peace talks with the Israeli Government.

The announcement comes despite the deaths of two Palestinians today at the hands of Israeli soldiers.
