More US airlines announce job cuts

Three more US airlines have announced massive job cuts following last week’s attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.

US Airways Group plans to lay off 11,000 workers, American Trans Air is to let go 1,500 staff and America West Holdings is planning 2,000 redundancies.
