Hope of finding survivors fade

Not a single victim has been pulled alive from the wreckage of New York’s World Trade Centre within the past twenty-four hours.

As the rescue operation continues, rescue workers are becoming increasingly pessimistic of finding survivors buried beneath the rubble of the tower blocks.
