Death for miner who bombed supermarket
A mine worker who bombed a supermarket and phoned bomb threats to two restaurants has been sentenced to death by a court in northern China, an official newspaper said today.
Feng Jun, 25, placed two homemade bombs in the Zhongbai supermarket in Datong, Shanxi province, on August 1 ‘‘because he was dissatisfied with his job,’’ the Legal Daily said.
It said 27 people were hurt in the blast, one seriously.
Two days later, Feng phoned bomb threats to two restaurants in an attempt to blackmail them, the newspaper said.
