Bird causes jetliner emergency landing

A Falcon Air jetliner carrying 71 people made an emergency landing today at Sturup airport in southern Sweden, after it collided with a bird shortly after take-off.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

The plane, a Boeing 737 with five crew members, took off two hours later for Stockholm after being checked by technicians, according to airline spokesman Bertil Ternert.
